May

    1st - At dawn on the shores of Loch Ashie near Inverness a phantom army is said to appear.
    12th(or the third Tuesday in the month) - A ghostly mass can sometimes be heard and seen on the shore of Salthouse Pool in Norfolk.
    19th - At Blickling Hall in Norfolk a ghostly coach is said to drive towards the house. This is the anniversary of Anne Boleyn's death who once lived in a house on this site. Some reports hold that the coach contains her ghost.
    31st - A phantom coach is said to crash into a bridge over the River Thurne at Potter Heigham in Norfolk. It is thought to contain the ghosts of Sir Godfrey Haslitt and his new bride, Lady Carew, who were fleeing from a fire at their home, in 1741, when they crashed into the bridge and died in the river.
